OH. Thank you. And may I add that they also do not usually have clean children. *shifty glance*
Love this. I'm gonna have to share this one!
I love this quote but actually disagree! I have time set aside every day for cleaning and writing and have three finished books!
(Whether the house is as clean as it should be or the books as good as they could be is another question entirely!)
My life in a quote.
So true. My house has it's clean moments, but then that's how you know the ms is feeling neglected. ;)
I'm with Melanie! Whenever I get stuck, writing, I get up and do laundry, wipe counters, and make soup. So sue me!
Okay, GK. It's only fair that we put one on here about men too. How about, "Men with clean garages?" I think it could work, huh?
So true.
This applies to us men I guess.
So long live dirty houses so that we can 'clean-up' with our books.
Women with clean houses may however be avoiding copyedits....
oh yeah, i've hesrd this before. I think i first heard it from Elizabeth Bear, something more like "No writer ever had a clean house"
I repeat that in my head like a mantra, every time i look at my dirty carpet
This actually looks like something I could do.
Have to agree with Melanie--I personally find the love of cooking, cleaning, reading and writing all wrapped up in the same package!
amen.
One thing I've learned as I age is that cob webs and dust bunnies can wait. My writing/publishing dreams can't. Life is too short to spend it cleaning, unless you're one of those people that LIKES cleaning. If so, please come to my house. :)
Or you can just have your husband do it. Or your children . . . the little freeloaders! :)
Women with clean houses however usually have families that are more in order--and thats' where it counts--thanks Dr. Laura (best selling authoress)
