A Scholastic Exclusive! message from Scholastic, Suzanne Collins, and the Hunger Games Official Page on Facebook (and GK happens to agree--I'd be quite upset if I read spoilers, especially from this work):
Dear Readers,
I can’t tell you how excited I am for the release of Mockingjay on August 24th, and how grateful I am for all the anticipation that’s been expressed in advance of the release date. One of the most important things to me is that everyone in the world is going to be able to experience the final book of The Hunger Games all at the same time, and be able to discover what happens in the book without hearing about it elsewhere first. Word will certainly travel fast, but I urge you – before or immediately after August 24th – to please respect the other Hunger Games fans worldwide and avoid sharing any spoilers, so that the conclusion of Katniss’s story can unfold for each reader the way it was meant to unfold.
I am eagerly looking forward to August 24th and the entrance of Mockingjay in the world. Then (and only then) let the conversations begin!

I've been known to plug my ears and yell "Na-Na-Na" in order to avoid spoilers in conversations, but with the increased presence of spoilers-that-become-news, I'm thinking I may take an Internet break around big book release dates.
And speaking of breaks, enjoy vacation. If you haven't read it already, pick up a copy of A Homemade Life by Molly Wizenberg. Turn directly to page 94. Best. Macaroons. Ever.

I can't wait for this book. My kids go back to school on the 25th so I'm going to wait until they get on the bus and then sit down and read the book from cover to cover (because I will have already purchased it the day before).
If Katniss doesnt' choose Gale I will die. Really, just die.

Kristi, I totally agree: it's rare for writers to get involved in this way, and I think it's wonderful.

I'm halfway through CF and am a nervous wreck! I can't wait until the 24th!!
