Here are links to the newest ones announced (officially or unofficially). Publisher's Marketplace did a big piece, which Agent Rachelle Gardner analyzes brilliantly, but--for those of you without a PM membership--I'll include links to the products mentioned.
I'm most excited about the Copia--in addition to having the best website (in my opinion), they seem to have done the best job using the device to create a social reading experience. See http://www.thecopia.com/index.html.
Also announced: a Samsung with a pen (finally! Annotation!), the Entourage Edge (a two-screened device--one for reading, one for web browsing), the Skiff (large, thin, touch-screened), an Audiovox device (promises easy synchronization and books through BN.com), and the Alex (a number of social media features, plus a dual screen like the Nook's).
Unfortunately, it's proving difficult to find out whether it's possible (as is possible with the Kindle) to simply attach a manuscript as a file and e-mail it wirelessly to any of these devices--which is 99 percent of how I'd use one of these devices. (Me, I like paper books.) Does anyone know?

I just read today that the Apple Tablet is supposed to be capable of it. (That, and myriad other technological miracles, if you drink the media's punch)
Everything about it is rumor though, at this point. Also, it'll probably have a price tag about quintuple that of the devices mentioned.

I don't know about any of the other E-readers but I just got my Kindle on Sunday and I am in love.
I will still buy lots of real books, but I do love instantly downloading sample chapters and free classics.
Oh, and manuscripts of friends. It makes me smile to see their stories look official. :)

I know what you mean, Karen. Sometimes, just because manuscripts look "real," it's easier for me to think of them that way when reading on the Kindle...that dangerous, alluring, book-like, official-looking formatting!
I pretty much only read on my phone anymore.
I just dropped my Kindle and I'm heartbroken! No, I didn't purchase the extra insurance...guess it's time to start reading those 16 other books sitting on my shelf. No formatting problems there.
I still prefer my books in print. I don't know, as much as I'm on the computer all day it's nice to curl up on the couch and hold a book in my hands and turn the pages. I'm sure eventually I'll get an e-reader, but until then, I'm happy with my books!
